SMIÐSBÚÐIN

2019, Reykjavik, Iceland

The exhibition includes four works, all of which are visual depictions of creation, degradation and re-creation.

The arrangement of everyday objects, found materials and the degradation and the decomposition of their meanings is the basis of these works.

The objects are both personal and general - in some cases related to the artist's memories, have either been indispensable or are unused or considered useless. Their break-up and rearrangement involves a creative act, which is in accordance with the laws of one another but also involves tension.

Smiðsbúðin is a goldsmith´s gallery in Reykjavík, Iceland
