2021 SVAVARSSAFN, HÖFN, HORNAFIRÐI, ICELAND

This series, Liquid Diary, is a registry of Ketilsson´s daily usage of liquids of various kinds –

in most cases my consumption of coffee, tea, fruit juices, wine and more. The fluids often relate to some short stories from his everyday life.

Ketilsson has kept samples of these liquids, both from his home and when traveling. Layer by layer, he has painted with these liquids on a 20 x 20 cm sheets of paper and written on them the date and a brief description.

This occupation of his has been going on for several years and is still in progress.

LIQUID DIARY - 2013-2021,

August 2016 - A young girl had blackcurrant juice for sale on Gunnarsbraut street.

Sept. 2015 - Found an old bottle in the kitchen cupboard, turned out to be a rare Italian red wine vinegar.

May 2019 - The last cup of coffee in Venice. Bought at Bortolomio Square.

Feb. 2017 – The weather was freezing cold. Nice to have a fragrant, beautifully red Forest Berry tea at the Art School.

April 2019 – Had a sore throat and sipped on a green, bad, cold-pressed health beverage.

Bad red wine from Chile (Concha y Toro) bought for a work period to Skagafjörður.

October 6th, 2017 - I cut myself on a wood carving tool and the blood flowed in half a cup.

June 2016 - brine of Greek Kalamata Olives

April 13th, 2014 - Espresso coffee in my studio - approx. ten drops in each circle layer. (except the innermost ones)

Feb. 2019 - A savorlessthyme-extract that I had at the teacher's room of the Art School.

June 2016 - My friend Gretar left a really bad Stout Beer (Garún) in my studio.

December 2015 - at home - Beauvaís, Danish beetroot extract.

Summer 2016 – Had the “Tea of the day” in Eymundsson, Aqua de Jamaica. Beautifully pink and fragrant.

Feb. 2019 - A savorlessthyme-extract that I had at the teacher's room of the Art School.
